when will they kill off a main character/recurring character?

this might be controversial but when will they kill off a main or recurring character? like in many other tv shows I’ve watched, main characters have died to create sadness or madness in their audiences but it has never happened in this show like there’s been so many damn times that the characters have been at deaths door but never have they been dead. like buck and the lighting strike, the embolism, tsunami, the ladder truck crushing him, almost got hit by a flaming car in the crossover, warehouse fire, held hostage by prisoners. Bobby going into cardiac arrest after his house got burnt down, alcohol poisoning, almost crushed by crane thing in “Eddie Begins”, exposed to toxic fumes in a tunnel where a hazardous materials truck crashed, Helicopter crash on the hospital roof, ceiling collapse, bridge collapse. Eddies helicopter crash in Afghanistan, the well collapse, getting shot by a sniper, held hostage by prisoners, bridge collapse. Chim and the car crash with the rebar, stabbing by Doug, Jonah stops his heart like two or three times, crushed in bridge collapse. Hen was stuck in the hotel after earthquake, the helicopter crash and smoke inhalation in crossover episode, bridge collapse. Athena kidnapped by the lady in the valentines episode, attacked by Jeffery Hudson, stuck in that house that slide off the cliff after earthquake. Maddie tried attempting suicide in Boston, almost killed by Doug in the woods, held hostage in the taking of dispatch. All these and none of them have died.

I know everybody would be sad if any of the main characters died but like it would create a lot of drama, character development and I feel like it would be sort of good for the show to create new storylines.

I know damn well many people are going to come after me for making this post.
