Is bjj big in the United Kingdom?

Im born and raised in London and any UK person will tell you most common sports here include football, basketball , rugby , mainly team sports. I genuinely dont know a single person who does it.

I found a gym near me though as ive been wanting to get into for time and its run by a guy who’s an experienced grappler and hes won tournaments etc. and been doing it for over 20 years.

Other than that i cant really seem to find a place where bjj is common in the UK as it is in America or other countries.

Not to mention ive played football all my life and feel like bjj will be a new journey for me.
