Connecting two external monitors to macbook pro with m1 pro processor

Hi, I tried to read about it online, but I am still really confused. I get different messages all over the place..

I want to connect two external monitors to my Macbook Pro with M1 Pro processor.

I have access to a HP G5 USB C dock.

Two monitors are connected to the dock via DisplayPort cables.

This doesn't work and the picture is just cloned across the two monitors.

How do I connect two monitors to my macbook pro m1 pro and use both monitors in "extended mode"?
